Lawrence Weiner. Brutto Gusto wrapping paper

Rotterdam, Brutto Gusto, 1996. Offset print on wax paper, 178 x 70 cm. Wrapping paper designed by Weiner, created for the flower shop annex gallery Brutto Gusto in Rotterdam. Printed in a repetitive pattern in red, orange and blue, with orange Brutto Gusto logo on top and bottom margins. This is a section torn from a roll, with jagged cuts at ends. Rare find.

Lawrence Weiner also made a special edition for Brutto Gusto's 20th anniversary, using the wrapping paper with added text. The art/flower/ceramics space was founded in 1988 by Geer Pouls in Rotterdam, and is based in Berlin since 2007.
