Sketchbook of Johannus Everhardus Rijnboutt ...[1839 - 1900]

Sketchbook with drawings for all sorts of ornaments, mainly for sculptures. Rijnboutt's father was a woodcarver and a sculptor in the city of Utrecht. He and his brother Joannes Jacobus were probably trained by their father. Rijnboutt was mainly an ornament carver at first, but worked as an independent sculptor later.
