Silver, ± 3.7 cm, weight 11.5 gr., recto w. the city virgin holding a laurel wreath, leaning on a printing press, to the left a column w. the word "Typographia" and the letters S and C to the left and right, all above the word "Harlemum", verso w. image of the Dutch ship breaking the chain at Damiate, above the city coat of arms and below the city phrase "Vicit vim virtus". (2) Town council token or "vroedschapspenning", ca. 1750. Silver, ± 3.2 cm, weight ± 7.3 gr., recto w. image of the city virgin next to an altar and awarding a "vroedschapspenning", surrounded by the text "Comes consiliorum/ Harlem", verso w. the same personification next to a printing press and a well spilling printing letters, surrounded by the city motto "Arte et marte" and above the text "Dam. Capt./ Typ. inv./ Urb. Defen."
