Andy Warhol. Louisiana poster, signed by Christopher Makos

Exhibition poster, 85 x 62 cm, offset printed in glossy silver and bright pink. Features an iconic 1982 portrait of Warhol by the American photographer Christopher Makos, who signed this copy in blue marker 'Christopher Makos Amsterdam 2000'.

Makos (b.1948) was a New York-based photographer, chronicler of the underground club culture in the 1970s and 1980s, and confidant of Warhol from the mid 1970s until the artist’s death in 1987. The poster was published on the occasion of the exhibition at the Louisiana museum in Denmark titled 'Andy Warhol og hans verden' (Andy Warhol and his World) held from 14 April to 30 July 2000. Light rubbing to left edge else in very good condition.
