In 2004, Meindertsma purchased a lot of 3264 objects confiscated from travellers at security checkpoints at Schiphol Amsterdam airport. The book is a photo catalogue of all items, featuring razor blades, scissors, nail clippers, toy guns, knives, corkscrews and more. Each copy of Checked Baggage comes packaged with one of the seized items that appears in the photographs. Sought-after first edition, Meindertsma's book has become a modern classic.
