(1869), XIII,(1),7,(1),394 p., with over 100 wood-engr. ills., as issued in 13 instalments w. continuous pagination, in orig. unif. printed wr. ("Cassell's Illustrated Robinson Crusoe"), 4to. Occas. internal defects such as foxing and sm. tears, the wrappers w. the inevitable minor tears (mainly sm. and on spine). In all a good set, very rare in the orig. instalments. The frontisp. portrait, list of ills. and introd. are cunningly published at the end of the final volume. A copy in old cl. is also included in the lot. (2) Life and Adventures of Robinson Crusoe. Dog-eared, torn on spine, but a good copy for such a fragile booklet. -and 4 others, incl the Tauchnitz edition (1845), edition of 1851 and 1856, one between 1860 and 1885 and an edition by J. Wrigley (N.Y.), ca. 1865.
