Kruikius, each 50,5 x 58,5 cm, together forming a wall-map of approx. 250 x 350 cm. W. dec. pastoral scenes at the bottom by A. Houbraken, 9 coats of arms of the dike-reeves and members by P. Haringh. Bound in contemp. gilt panelled marbled calf, both covers w. gilt central floral ornament, richly gilt spine w. raised bands and red mor. letterpiece, gilt board edges, silk ties. Large folio.
Provenance: inserted letter by J. van der Walde addressed to Sir Steenstra (likely Pibo Steenstra (?-1788)), dated, 1776. 3 p., containing a.o. a rapport on the repairs of Delftshaven after a flood. Two ties partially lacking, binding sl. rubbed along edges, else a fine copy.
