Arte Postale! Nos. 1-15, 1979-1980

Scarce earliest issues of the artist's assembling magazine, founded, directed and hand-assembled by Vittore Baroni. Published monthly by Baroni's V.E.C in Forte dei Marmi Italy, in an edition of 100 numbered copies. Each issue stapled or riveted bound, 33 x 22 cm, approx. 12 sheets, with xeroxed and original inserts, rubber stamp art, photocopy art, and several manual interventions in paint, felt-tip or ink. Issue No. 13 contains a supplement catalogue for The First International Mail Art Badge Show, organized by Baroni in September 1980. The project culminated in an 'one-man walking exhibition' performed by Baroni wearing 200 original badges designed by 200 mail artists. Fine copies with mild horizontal fold as all sheets were folded once for mailing. Extremely rare, complete collection.

Arte Postale! (1979-2009) is one of the best known and probably the most long-lived mail art magazines around. This set contains all the issues released as a monthly magazine, from 1981 onwards it appeared quarterly or irregularly. Among the contributors to Nos. 1-15 are Pawel Petasz, Adriano Spatola, Robin Crozier, Dick Higgins, Ray Johnson, Cavellini, Bill Gaglione, Anna Banana, Yoshio Nakajima, Ben Vautier, Rod Summers, Robert Filliou, Henryk Bzdok, Paulo Bruscky, E.F. Higgins III, Romano Peli, Klaus Groh et al. (total 16)
