Callot, J. (1592-1635). Two prints: (1) Entreé de Monseigneur Henry de Lorraine,

Marquis de Moÿ soubs le nom de Pirandre. Engraving, 15.5 x 24.3 cm, titled in upper margin, signed "Jac. Callot fe." in lower left corner, mounted at upper corners under simple passepartout. Good impression on paper w. cross of Lorraine watermark, w. narrow margins. Some folds and stains, minuscule tear in left margin. Lieure 581. (2) The Holy Family. Engraving, 28 x 23 cm, after Andrea del Sarto (1486-1630), the dedication below the image dated 1613, mounted and in late 19th cent. frame w. engr. label of Ernest Samson (the framing company still exists at the same address in Paris). Good impression, trimmed on/ just inside the plate mark (touching the coat of arms). Stained/ w. sm. defects at corners from mounting, not examined outside the frame. Lieure 73, first state (of 2), before the Address of Pierre Mariette and the signature of Callot. Also on verso of frame are old manuscript description labels, one w. later addition in pen "Coll. de Bizemont" (cf. Lugt 128, Comte A. G. P. de Bizemont Prunelé (1752-1837)).
