The index of vol. 1 is bound in vol. 2. Lacks the 15th and final plate of the Metamorphoses. Volume 3 partly waterst. in upper inner corner. Covers w. chafed spots affecting the decoration. A luxuriously bound set, bringing to mind the famous Dutch bookbinder Albertus Magnus. All vols. w. bookplate of Prof. Dr. R.Th.R. Wentges on first free endpaper and unidentified engr. bookplate of "A.W. Trin. Coll. Camb." on upper pastedown. -and 2 others: a finely bound work dated 1727, and a very rare juridical work by Petrus Panhusius (The Hague, 1653).
