Family photo-album containing 77 mounted orig. black and white photographs
Var. sm. sizes (mostly 6.5 x 11 cm), w. Dutch captions in white pen, dated 1929-1932. Orig. cord-bound wr., obl. sm. folio. Interesting private album compiled by an unknown member of an Amsterdam family, likely unique vernacular. Three photographs show the "Graf Zeppelin" flying above Amsterdam, 13 October 1929. Four photographs dated 18 April 1929 document the ruins of the Palais voor Volksvlijt in Amsterdam, destroyed by fire earlier that month. Two other photographs show the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam at the moment of the "Regentesse Spel", 12 June 1929. Furthermore photographs of the "Lichtweek Edison", 21-26 Ocotober 1929 (4x), the "Stranding S.S. Heinrich Podeus ten Z. van Zandvoort Nov. 28-Aug. 29" (3x), the "Zuiderzee afsluiting 15-5-'32" (3x) and many family photographs of holidays, visits to friends, cities and events.
