Vasarely, V. (1906-1997). Typescript letter signed "Vasarely" in ballpoint,
dated "le 26 Avril 1971", to "Monsieur Frédéric de Towarnicki", recto only on one A4 leaf w. watermark "Marais", w. the address of Vasarely "83, Rue aux Reliques 77, Annet-sur-Marne" in upper l. corner, folded. Interesting letter, stating that he is embarrassed by the "affaire Mme Rodrigue - M. Manesse" and that there are too many plates signed Vasarely in curculation. He is willing to offer an original plate but not an experimental one; he indicates that Mourlot is printing lithographs of his work. He also asks De Towarnicki to send him a proof of his print "Vonal Atlo II". Frédéric de Towarnicki (1920-2008), French author and journalist, friend of Vasarely whose vision he documented, also a confidant of Martin Heidegger.
