Clemente Padín. Ovum 10, near complete set
Montevideo, self-published, 1969-1972. Comprises eight issues of the Latin American assembling magazine of experimental poetry founded and edited by Clemente Padín. Ten numbers were published between 1969 and 1972, printed in approx. 500 copies. This set includes Nos. 1 - 7 and No. 10 (missing Nos. 8 and 9). Staple- bound, each approx. 22.5 x 15.5 cm, 12-20 pp. No. 1 with signed dedication by Padin on the first page, complete with original collaged cover. No. 2 features a 'destructive tool' by Padin (an actual pin stuck through a page), and a burned hole by Adriano Spatalo. The covers of No. 4 are wrapped by a string with attached text labels 'principio' and 'fin'. No. 5 dampstained, pages waving but intact. No. 7 with inserted match. First seven copies with issue number added in pen in left upper corner. Generally a fine, rare collection.

In the 1960s and 1970s the Uruguayan artist and poet Clemente Padín (b. 1939) organized important exhibitions dedicated to visual poetry and mail art, and published several magazines including Los Huevos de Plata (1965–1969), Ovum 10 (1969–1972) and Ovum (1972–1975).
