Artist’s book featuring abstract drawings determined by mathematical formulae, suggesting an almost endless number of possibilities. Small dent in right margin, stain on rear cover, interior fine.

(2) Random shapes. Amsterdam, Stedelijk Museum, 1975. Artist's book. Stiff paper portfolio, 26.5 x 20.5 cm, contains text on leporello (6 pp.) and an envelope with 10 variously shaped pieces of white cardboard. Mild crease to top margin, crisp copy. (3) herman de vries, at random. Gorinchem, Kunstcentrum Badhuis, 1976. Stapled booklet, 14.5 x 10.5 cm, 16 pp. Artist's book cum catalogue, part of the Kunstinformatie series published by Antoinette Hilgemann-de Stigter in conjunction with exhibitions held at Badhuis Gorinchem.
