Bas Jan Ader (1942-1975) disappeared during the performance In Search of the Miraculous, in which he attempted to cross the Atlantic Ocean from Massachusetts to England in a small sailboat. This bulletin was the last communication from the artist and became a seminal document to this extraordinary work.
