Engraving from the series of 12 dep. the martyrdom of Christ and 11 apostles, 20.5 x 28.2 cm, after Maerten de Vos (I), numb. 7 in lower middle, w. address "Aux 4. vents" (Volcxken Diercx, the widow of Hieronymus Cock) in lower margin. Very fine impression trimmed on/ near the plate mark. Mounted (apparently at margins only), a bit foxed. Hollstein 356. (2-4) Vos (I), M. de (1531/32-1603) (after). Events with Christ in the Temple. Three engravings, 20.5 x 25.5 cm, in De Vos' turn after Jacques de Bie (1581-1637/47), numb. 2, 4 and 5 in lower r. corner, all signed "M. de Vos Inven(tor)" and w. address of C.J. Visscher in lower margin. Very fine impressions w. much contrast, all on paper w. sm. shield watermark, good margins. Hollstein (De Vos) 288, 290 and 291. -and 5 others, incl. the Martyrdom of Bartolomew, from the same series at the first print of the lot and in the same condition (formerly attributed to Goltzius, now to Hans Collaert (I)).
