International Graffiti Times. Vol. 6 1985
New York, Graffiti Gazette, 1985. Seminal fanzine documenting the rise of street art in New York City and beyond. It was founded by artist/photographer David Schmidlapp in 1984, and joined by legendary writer and hip hop pioneer Phase 2 in 1986. Fifteen issues were made between 1984 and 1994, with various titles such as Subway Sun, InterGalactic Times, GetHip International Times, and Tight.
Two-colour double-sided printed page, 44.5 x 56 cm, folded to 22.5 x 10.5 cm. This issue features text on the New York mayor (Koch gets Electrocuted), the closure of graffiti galleries, an interview with Sain and James Top, and numerous b/w images of subway art photographed by Rize, Robert Cash, Sak et al. Very good copy.
