[Leiden. Sports] Leidsche Sport Vereeniging, founded 11 May 1916

Album containing 100 photographs, each measuring approx. 6 x 8 cm, mounted on 13 board lvs, orig. green cl., obl. 4to. Very nice album documenting activities of male members of the Leidsche Sport Vereeniging, two photographs show members grouped around the society's emblem, while a few others depict the flag of LSV. A number of photographs at the end are dated 1918. The young men (probably mostly members of the Leiden student's corps Minerva), are depicted on (racing-) bikes, in swimming outfits, on camping trips, in sports' outfits with pinned-up medals, exercising, standing behind men in sports clothes w. logo "VCS" around a triskelion (probably Sparta), on a motorcycle, etc.
