A classical handbook for palaeontology; this 2nd edition enriched with 24 extra prints. Quenstedt was a professor in Tuebingen and specialezed in minerology and geology; he discovered many dinosaur species, such as the Ichtyosaur, Archaeopteryx, mastodonts, trylobites etc. and announced a theory similar to Darwin's almost simultaneously, but never published it.
