Rare complete set of the first Dutch edition, with all engravings by Abraham and Daniel Veelwaard. The author joined the British expedition to Java in 1811; he held important posts during the British occupation of the island. Translated by Pieter de Haan Psz., who visited the archipelago himself and published "Schetsen van Java" in 1829.
