Vues Pittoresques de Bade et de ses environs. Baden, D.R. Marx, n.d. (ca. 1840), 27 steel-engraved plates, each with letterpress description in German and French, original gilt cardboard sides with leather spine, edges gilt, oblong small 8vo.

Foxed and with marginal waterstains. Bindings worn along edges. With nice dedication by Goswin de la Fontaine Schluiter "aan zijn lieve nichtje Johanna voor op haren dertiende verjaardag", dated 14 January 1843. This album with charming views is also known with the address Carlsruhe, Creuzhauer (ca. 1840), with only 18 prints (this edition is more common than ours). Text by Aloys Schreiber (1763-1841), the prints are produced by Karl Frommel (1789-1863).
