Veldtocht in Rusland
Leon Degrelle (1906-1994) Walter Soethoudt, Antwerpen, 1971. 334 p. Cloth bound without dust jacket. 4to. Signed with dedication. Including old photograph of Degrelle.
Degrelle was a Belgian fascist and one of the two Belgians to shake Hitler's hand. He idolised Mussolini. In the last year of the War he fled to Spain where he remained for decades. He published multiple books and remained loyal to far-right ideology. * An article in the Volkskrant (http://tinyurl.com/qf398mn) suggests that Degrelle, who was friends with Hergé, modelled for Kuifje. He 'regularly worse brown plusfour' and had - as the jeune premiere at the time - an eye-catching puff of hair on his head.
