Cycling tags
Collection of all tax tags between 1925 until its abolishment in 1941 + A tag in contemporary container and a tag from 1933/34 with hole, for the unemployed - and a number of brochures, articles etc. about the tags. Designed by Chris van der Hoef, Willem Rozendaal and Cornelis Wienecke.
*In 1924 Prime Minister Colijn decided that every bicycle that was to be used on the public road should have a tax tag. Beneficial for government revenue. Costs: 3 guilders, later 2,50. People on welfare were allowed to apply for one free of charge; however, this one had a hole, so that everyone could recognise it. Embassies and consulates had one with a punched-out star. The German abolished this law in 1941. People did not particularly mind...and the NSB emphasized that they had always wanted this in the first place.
