Collins, Sons, & Company, 1878, (4),219[= 222] p., with 16 fine lithographed city views printed in colour and finished in hand-colouring, 124 chromolithographic maps (mostly full-page, and including 41a-41d) and 2 monochrome plates with sections of continents, text with many woodcut illustrations, later half cloth with parts of the original backstrip pasted, folio.
Here and there slightly foxed; hinge of front board reinforced with tape on inside. With ex libris of Cornelis Koeman (1918-2006) on inside front board. Mostly important for the very fine and colourful views of London, Edinburgh, Dublin, Paris, Brussels, Rome, Berlin, Vienna, St. Petersburg, Constantinople, Calcutta, Beijing, Montreal, New York, Melbourne and Sydney (all ca. 17 x 22 cm.).
