Text volume complete, of the plates number 31, 35 and 46 are lacking; both volumes foxed/tanned and here and there waterstained and with several other defects. Sold w.a.f. The ethnographic part of Temminck's famous Verhandelingen, with beautiful views and portraits of natives. Besides this (first) volume on Land en Volkenkunde, similar volumes appeared on zoology and on botany. Due to the even then very high costs of these volumes, they could be purchased separately.
