The ethnographic part of Temminck's famous Verhandelingen, with beautiful views and portraits of natives. Besides this (first) volume on Land en Volkenkunde, similar volumes appeared on zoology and on botany. Due to the even then very high costs of these volumes, they could be purchased separately.
