Bussum, A.A.M. Stols, 1927, (2),241,(3), p., with frontispiece portrait and various plates, printed in 1115 copies (1000), bound in beautiful gilt full morocco with gilt top edge, bound with original cover, in paperboard slipcase, 4to.

Near-perfect copy from the library of Pieter Tjebbes, with his ex libris on inside front cover. The binding appears to be a publisher's binding, but its appearance is much too luxurious for the part of the edition to which it belongs, according to the numbering (our copy is numbered 56). Hence the binding is different from another one of those 1000 copies that is offered for sale online. The text of this tribute to Paul Valéry contains contributions by P.C. Boutens, J. Guillén, R. Kayser, Comte G. de Reynold, R.M. Rilke. A.A.M. Stols, P. Valery himself, V.E. van Vriesland, K. van de Woestijne and others.
