Half cloth, folio with the original binding in colour litho on front and back cover. Contains: Celebratory punlication after the successful Dutch victory on Lombok against the rebellious Sasaks and Balinese on that island. Dedicated to Queen Emma. Impressions of the battle and congratulations by famous Dutchmen such as B. van Meurs, George Kepper, Arnold Isings, E.B. Kielstra, Virginie Loveling and Justus van Maurik, mostly in facsimile and always with their signatures. Holland - Krakatau with 24 pp. drawings and expressions of support after the eruption of the volcano Krakatoa on Java in 1883. A curious compilation and the whole in good condition.
