[Music] Memorial album for Mies [Stork] and Wies,

14 pages with handwritten signed contributions and (signed) portrait photos, pasted in corners, of various musicians. dated "18/XI/1940" to "20 XII 1942", and with a large number of empty pages, contemporary cardboard, 23 x 18 cm.

Contents here and there tender or loose, edges of boards worn. It becomes clear from the contributions that Mies Stork and Wies were visited by various famous (international) musicians in Groningen around 1942, especially in March that year. The album contains contributions by: Corry Bijster (1905-1998, opera diva, dedication in pen); Györgi Faragó (1913-1944, pianist, signed photo and a signed and dated dedication in German); Ji?í Shacko (?) (violin player, signed photo and signed and dated dedication in German); Marjorie Hijan (?) (pianist, photo with signed dedication and separate signed dedication, both in Dutch and dated); Henk Viskil (tenor and Matthaeus Passion specialist, photo with signed dedication and separate signed dedication); Lucien Louman (1896-1952, concert singer, signed photo with "Voor Mies Stork" on the reverse and a separate signed and dated dedication); Miek Engelenburg (1908-?, pianist, signed and dated dedication and a photo); Tibor de Machula (1912-1982, cellist, signed and dated dedication); Emil Telmányi (1892-1988, violin player, portrait postcard with signed, dated dedication on reverse, sent to Mies Stork, Groningen).
