Tinted lithographic board game printed in brown and blue by Gebr. Braakensiek, 60 x 44.5 cm., Amsterdam, J. Vlieger, n.d. (ca. 1885), antiquely affixed to 4 pieces of cardboard with cloth hinges and an unrelated chromolitho on the reverse of one piece.

"This is an exceptionally fine boardgame [sic] with Gothic Revival features. Particularly instructive is the image at the ‘end’ of the game. One boy has been good and is collecting his presents from Saint Nicholas. Five others are kept outside and admonished by an obviously agitated Pete. They look in with crestfallen, and in some cases tearful, faces."
