[Indonesia] Nederlandsch Oost-Indische Typen

Verzameling van gelithografieerde platen in kleurendruk. Naar de natuur geteekend door A. van Pers. Met een verklarenden tekst in 't Hollandsch en Fransch. Opgedragen aan zijne excellentie den gouverneur-generaal van Nederlandsch-Indië, den heer Mr. A.J. Duijmaer van Twist. Den Haag, C.W. Mieling, n.d. (1853-1854), tinted lithographic title, 14 double-sided letterpress text leaves and 28 colourlithographs with Dutch, Malaysian and French inscriptions, contemporary half leather, large folio.

Poor copy, however, with the number of text leaves and plates as mentioned in PiCarta; waterstained and foxed and frayed/with tears and tape repairs (the plate "Waschlieden" almost in half); contents partly loose. Sold with all faults, a copy deserving of restoration. Extremely rare work, originally published in episodes with very colourful plates. Due to the attractiveness and size of the plates, unspoiled copies rarely, if ever appear on the market.
