7 photos of the 4th Olympic Games in 1906, the so-called Intercalated Games, in Athens. Incl. tug of war and opening ceremony. Each ca. 17 x 23 cm.

Some additional cutting along edges, printed on two different types of paper. On reverse inscription in pencil regarding the photo. After the successful first Olympic Games in 1898, Greece wanted to host the Games every 4 years in Athens. As a compromise, these "preparatory games" were organised. However, these games did not persist and were cancelled in 1910. Then came the Great War, after which the entire project was discarded.
