Three very rare publications by D. Noothoven van Goor in Leiden,

(1) De nachtegaal en het lijstertje. Gedichtjes van S.J. van den Berg, J.J.L. ten Kate en Mr. J. van Lennep. Met 6 gekleurde plaatjes. C. 1860, 94,(2) p., with 6 handcoloured, tinted lithographs, original blindstamped and gilt cloth (mild foxing, else a very good copy).

This edition not at UB Leiden. Previously published in 1850 and 1854; (2) Vertellingen zoo als de kinderen die gaarne hebben. Door J.A. Smits. Met 12 gekleurde plaatjes. 1861, (32) p., with 12 handcoloured lithographs, original printed wrapper. Content tender/ loose and with some foxing, spine covered with sellotape and boards soiled. PiCarta lists only one copy (Leeuwarden), with (erroneously?) 42 text pages. Our copy nearly certainly complete, with a title page, complete introduction (2 p.), 2 p. complete text with 11 pasten and with the final plate 4,5 p. complete text followed by a Besluit (1,5 p.). Lovely stories and plates, incl. "De haas, die eene pistool afschiet", "De kunstige ezel", "De hond, die domino speelt", "De aap, die de tafel dient" and "De handige olifant". And with 1 other work published by D. Noothoven van Goor in 1858 (Engelsche Koopmans-Correspondentie, second printing, original wrapper. PiCarta lists only a copy in Amsterdam). (total 3)
