Achte verbesserte Auflage. Utrecht, W.F. Dannenfelser, n.d. (1861), 201 p., entirely lithographed by I. Bagel at Wesel, contemporary wrapper, 4to size.

Several pages heavily browned by previously inlaid sheet, minor other defects. From the famous library of the Utrecht collector Arend-Jan Nijland (1826-1916), with his stamp on the title page (2 older owner's names in pen). Nijland's collection of books and prints (partly conc. Utrecht) was auctioned off from 1907 to 1913 at Amsterdam. This edition not in PiCarta, which does list Amsterdam 8th editions by Seyffard and by Brinkmann issued at the same time. The first edition was published in Wesel, 1828. Curious and rare item with several collecting themes converging. Added: (2) The same work in the 5th improved edition, Wesel, J. Bagel, 1833 (printed at Emmerich), curiously enough differently lithographed but content-wise exactly the same as (1) (also 201 p.). Our Utrecht printing is therefore not a very precise copy of the German editions.
