Small folio, new binding, halfmorocco, new endpapers, title with large vignette, (6),54 pp. and title with similar vignette, (2),61 pp. The first part with 2 full-page copper engravings with the portrait of Maurice, Prince of Orange and his coat of arms with his motto. Head- and tailpieces, numerous woodcuts in the text. The second part with 2 headpieces and one tailpiece and numerous woodcuts in the text, of which 12 + 6 examples of fortifications, pp. 33/34 folding. Simon Stevin was quartermaster to Maurice, among other things. Scarce.
