Pétanque

'Fanny'. Set with 9 framed postcards, a medal, and a celluloid print of Fanny*, with an advertising card of Van Houten Cacao, c. 1900, and several reprints and a poster, all framed under glass. (total 10)

*According to legend, Fanny was a waitress in a cafe in Grand Lemps, northern France, on the eve of World War I. Whoever lost a game of pétanque with zero points was allowed to give her a hug. One day, the mayor of the town came to her, but he was not received with open arms: Fanny climbed on a chair, pulled up her skirt and held her naked butt in front of his face. The mayor decided to play along and gave her two kisses on the cheeks.
