[Belgium] Plans et Jounaux des Sieges de la derniere guerre

De Flandres, rassemblés par deux capitaines etrangers [Funck & D'Illens] au service de France. Strasbourg, Melchior Pauschinger, 1750, (8),113,(1) p., with folding engraved general map of Flanders and 24 folding plans of besieged cities, woodcut ornaments at beginning and end of each Journal. Leather, title on spine in gilt stamping, small 4to, marbled endpapers.

Various plans with mild tanning, text and various plans waterstained, mostly in central part, various small stamps. Spine head with notch. Else a good copy. The siege of the cities of Flanders during the War of the Austrian Succession, with the text in the form of a Journal (varying from 2 to 10 pages) on the siege of each city, followed by the plan of the city, in chronological order: first Menin in May 1744 and finally Maastricht in April 1748. Other notable cities are Brussels, Antwerp, Bergen op Zoom, Oudenaarde and Ostend.
