[Maritime] Archive of Engineer v. Wieringen

Archive of Scheepvaartmachinist Van Wieringen cont. ± 80 photos, a collar emblem and various diplomas representing a glorious maritime career: Voorlopig machinisten-diploma, 1928; Machinisten-diploma A, 1932; diploma B, 1936; Scheepswerktuigkundige diploma, 1939; Sloepgast, 1941; Eerste machinist, 1946. Van Wieringen sailed on the S.S. Ruys, was stationed in Scotland during the Second World War, in 1948-1954 in Batavia, then in Amsterdam where he served on the Eerens. Photos incl. several of the H.M.S. Ruys at Apapa Wharf with Nigerian Troops from S.E.A.C., 29-11-45, so before the ship was officially deployed.
