both covers with the central gilt coat of arms of Hoorn, surrounded by two double fillet borders and with corner ornaments, spine gilt in 5 compartments, each with a central flower, 8vo.

Lacks ties; bookblock loosening from head- and tailband; pastedowns torn from warped turn-ins. Beautiful binding in full "Hoorns perkament". With (loosening) manuscript school prize awarded to Nicolao Coster Verloren, signed by "Gymnasii Hornani Curatores" A. Coninck, P. Opperdoes, P.V. Wallendall and J. Dortsma, dated 30 March 1730.
