[Cats. Acrobatics] George Techow's wonderful performing cats

Presented by Miss Alice. Friedländer, Hamburg, 1906. 2 parts mounted together, ca. 136 x 94 cm. Lith. no. 3578.

Sl. worn along folding lines, reinf. on verso. *George Techow was an animal trainer at Circus Hagenbeck who was the first to set up an all feline act, where he showcased his cats doing tricks such as walking on their front paws, jumping through hoops of fire and walking a tight rope while they jumped over each other. He even had one of the cats dressed as a clown, wearing a small hat and collar. Later, his daughter Alice would take over the act, here announced as the presentor of the show.
