A few lvs. w. closed (sm.) tear; sl. foxed/ stained. Otherwise contents good and complete. Free endpapers and wr. sl. defective. Rare Dutch adaptation of Struwwelpeter. Comprises (1) the following 10 stories: De vuilepoes; Gus-nijdigerd; Het luistervinkje; De sloddervos; Nanette met de snorren; De leugenaar; Hansje-schreeuwlelijk; De snoep-al; Jan vernielal; Hans kijk-in-de-pot; (2) Nieuwe serie. Van den Morgen tot den Avond. Rijmpjes voor kinderen door George. Amst., J. Vlieger, n.d. (ca. 1885), (6) lvs. with chromolithogr. ills. (incl. threadbound wr.), sm. folio size. Wr. with few sm. defects, but a very good copy for such a vulnerable booklet. Rare, apparently only 1 copy in NCC (Utrecht); (3) Game consisting of two plates w. each 4 caricatural chromolithogr. ills. of people w. ridiculously large noses, with a central window that allows all 8 different ills. to be viewed separately, folded in a dos-à-dos clothbacked board binding, 11.5 x 9 cm. Frame lacks embossed gilt paper edge on 1 side; a few other smaller defects. Nice and rare game. And 9 others, all ca. 1900 and w. chromolithogr. ills. and/or wr. (5x) or clothbacked boards (4x), incl. works w. verses by Tine van Berken (Asscheposter and Bella en de beer), Dorrit Mohr (Lieve en stoute kinderen and Van hier en daar en overal), A.L. de Rop (Gelukkige uurtjes and Bij den Haard, ills. and covers by H.M.
