London, "Aux dépens de la Compagnie", 1775, 3 vols., 366; 272; 268 pp., beautifully bound by Belz-Niédrée in 19th cent. full marbled calf, all covers with crowned monogram in all corners surrounded by double fillet border gilt and ribbed spines with mor. letterpieces and the same crowned monogram in 4 compartments, a.e.g., large 12mo.

Blank margins occas. dam. (1x touching a few words); minor other internal defects. All vols. with sm. pieces of leather lacking at edges of covers (nibbled). Still an attractive copy from the library of Chateau de Mouchy with its bookplate on inside frontcovers. Online digitally available is a catalogue of the library published in 1872, this work has number 1042 in the section "Belles-lettres" (the number is also written on the bookplates). Famous Catalan novel on chivalry, composed in the middle of the 16th century by the knight Joanot Martorell of Valencia and completed by Martí Johan de Galba. Cervantes made Don Quixote say about this book that is was the most important book in the world, so he saved it from the fate of his other books on knights that were all burnt.
