He was appointed by Henry III advocate-general at the Paris cours des comptes, a very powerful institution. Rare early edition of this collection of ca. 150 letters by Pasquier (also inclusing a few letters to Pasquier), giving a great insight in his network, with a good index. Comprises a.o. several letters to Ronsard, many letters to Monsieur de Fonsomme, and letters to Charles Cardinal de Lorraine, De Tou, Theodore Pasquier (his son), Loisel and to (anonymous) ladies Earlier editions of his letters were published in 1586, 1587 and 1590 and 1597. Our edition is also known with address of Paul Frellon in Lyon.
