William Swaim. Casos de curaciones, que se han hecho con el uso de la Panacea de Swaim

Philadelphia, no publ., 1830. (6), 96 pp. W. engr. frontispiece portrait of Ana Linton (cured by his medicine), a woodcut of Hercules destroying Hydra (which Swaim often used as advertisement), contemp. half calf, sprinkled edges.
Boards sl. rubbed with corners a bit bumped, partly with some fox./brown, lacking the last 24 pp. Very rare. Swaim's Panacea was a patented medicine sold between ca. 1820-1920, and was supposed to be a cure for syphillis, sores, mercurial disease and many other ailments.
