[Extremely rare travel account] De peerd- en sleedjagers van Oudeboon op Amsterdam,
volgens een oud handschrift. Anno 1729 [by Hendrik Rients]. Ed. Fokke A. Dijkstra. Leeuwarden, L. Kuipers, 1864, 31 p., original limp cardboard (content and boards loose).
Extremely rare, only one copy in PiCarta (Leeuwarden). Lovely account, written in a beautiful popular style, of a trade journey across the ice undertaken in January 1729, by the author and thirteen men (all mentioned by name), with 13 horses and sleds with 128 barrels of butter belonging to merchant Jelle Ames. The story reads like an exciting children's book.
