[Genealogy and heraldry] "Armoiries des Familles nobles et Patriciennes de la Néerlande
Par le Comte W. Alfred de Bijlandt." With: "Clèves, Julier, Berg, Provinces Rhénanes, Westphalie". Manuscript armorial, 19th century, with calligraphed title page followed by the main work in 11 parts of ca. 40 leaves each, with on recto of each leaf 16 coats of arms in gouache, followed by a second work with another ca. 80 leaves each with 20 coats of arms in gouache, both parts in alphabetical order complete from A to Z and the pages facing the pages with coats of arms name lists in pen, all parts together in earlier gilt school prize binding with the arms of Zwolle on both boards and morocco title shield on spine, 4to (minor defects to binding).
Part of the escutcheons not yet completed in order to allow for additions. Two highly extraordinary, complete manuscript armorials. The bookblock and paging indicate that Alfred van Bijlandt first completed the work in parts, before having them bound together. The total number of escutcheons exceeds 8000.
