[Print bible] De gewigtigste geschiedenissen des Bybels,

afgebeeld in twee honderd twee en vijftig printverbeeldingen. Op nieuw geteekend, en door de voornaamste meesters in het koper sneden. Met eene zaaklijke uitbreiding opgehelderd door Ysbrand van Hamelsveld. Amsterdam etc., J. de Groot, G. Warnars & P. den Hengst et al., 1791, VI,129 p. Folio, half leather binding with marbled boards, gilt back with raised bands with gilt title on red, endpapers with pasted double-page engraving, with 250 of 252 engravings.

Binding rubbed to edges, boards damaged, leather on spine ends worn, endpapers split across hinge, blank leaves with plate damaged (plate good), at the end with water stain top centre (increasing towards the end). Fairly rare print bible with battered binding and two missing engravings, but with most engravings and the pasted plate in good condition. Pasted on the blank leaves before the title a plate from "Printverbeeldingen van het Oude Testament" by Jan Luyken, dated and published in 1747, but originally engraved ca. 1708 as frontispiece for the fourth edition of Icones Biblicæ.
