Rare new edition of the first 13 memoires of the 15 that originally appeared from September 1689 to August 1690 (also in the Netherlands) under the title Les Soupirs de la France esclave qui aspire après la liberté (De suchtingen van het slaefachtigh Vrankryk, wenschende naer desselfs vryheyt). 1788 was an opportune moment for such a reissue, due to the imminent French revolution; (2) M. A. Granier de Cassagnac. Histoire des Cause de la révolution Française. Paris, 1850, 4 volumes, contemporary uniform half leather (sm. defects); (3) Ph. Kervyn de Volkaersbeke and J. Diegerick. Documents historiques inédits concernant les trobles des Pays-Bas 1577-1584 (...). Ghent, F. and E. de Gyselinck, 1848-1849, 2 volumes, (6),467,(1); (4) XXIII,(1),498 p., with 6 folding lithographed plates with reproductions of signatures, contemporary uniform half calf, gilt back with raised bands with 2 contrasting morocco title shields, all boards with the gilt arms of the Signet Library. And with 4 more 19th-century publications, incl. a rare work on the massacre at Moscow in 1606, by Prince Augustin Galitzin (1859) (total of 7 works in 11 volumes).
