(2) Jan van Doorninck. Commentatio qua respondetur ad quaestionem a nobilissimo philosophiae theoreticae et literarum humaniorum ordine in Academia Groningana anno MDCCCXXXIII propositam (...). Groningen, I. Oomkens, 1835, (2),263,(1) p., contemporary cardboard (paper across spine lost, tender, various smaller defects). Rare first and only edition of this important treatise on the early history of Friesland. With this publication Van Doorninck won first prize in a contest hosted by the University of Groningen. With two more on Knightly tournaments (1683) and on the St. Elizabeth's night (1841) (total 4).
