Amsterdam, M. Westerman & Zoon, 1835-1841, 18 volumes, ca. 400 p. per volume, with 230 lithographed plates by J. Steyn, contemporary uniform gilt half leather, small 8vo (size 12mo).

A few pages from the final volume were bound at the end of volume 12; here and there text leaves of plates loose or tender; backstrip volume 17 tender. Here and there small defects such as stains and traces of use. A good set, as such very rare. At least a second installment appeared: Mengelwerk (7 volumes), as well as a number of single titles under the title of "De Leidsman der Jeugd".
