[ps. of A.L.B. Robineau]. Nouvelle édition. Antwerp, no publisher, 1791, 2 volumes, 216; 235 p., with 3 folding, engraved plates, contemporary half sheepskin with gilt and ribbed back, 12mo.

Volume 2 partly waterstained and with annotations in pencil at the beginning; both bindings with the usual rubbing for this type of leather, corners bumped, yet good copies. Interesting work concerning the Brabant Revolution, in which the Dutch Republic was involved as a safe haven for Belgian revolutionaries. The adventurous 18th-century French playwright Alexandre-Louis-Bertrand Robineau (1746-1823) would later name himself De Beaunoir (anagram of Robineau) and Jacques le Sueur for protection (and under force). This highly succesful work, first published in 1790, led to the downfall of Van der Noot.
